Ears.
Who has them?
Of course, everyone has ears—ears to hear relatives, doctors, girlfriends, boyfriends, acquaintances, colleagues, neighbors, news, etc., etc., etc.
But who has ears to hear the voice of the Spirit of God?
It is not always sweet, tender or soft.
At times it is strong, straight to the point and rough.
He does not speak to the heart, since it lacks the courage to obey.
And yet I doubt He would have trouble solving any problem.
With a flood of advice, who would choose to hear the voice of God?
To the interested He says:
“Oh, that My people would listen to Me…
I would soon subdue their enemies, and turn My hand against their adversaries…
I would have fed them also with the finest of wheat; and with honey from the rock I would have satisfied you.” Ps 81.13-16
