SHOULD EVERYONE BE AN ASSISTANT?

SHOULD EVERYONE BE AN ASSISTANT?

Not everyone who’s baptized with the Holy Spirit will be an assistant, a pastor, a pastor’s wife or hold any other title in the Church, but all those who are baptized with the Holy Spirit are witnesses to the Lord Jesus.

Why?

Not everyone has the same calling and God, better than anybody else, knows this.

We may call on God, but He’s the One who ultimately chooses, based on what He knows about our mind, heart, willingness and intention.

It’s better to be a good church member than an unhappy assistant; it’s better to be a good assistant than an unhappy pastor or pastor's wife and that is because everyone has their individual calling.

Just like the human body is made up of individual members, the Church of Jesus Christ is also chosen by Him to serve according to their calling. Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. And God has placed in the church first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, of helping, of guidance, and of different kinds of tongues. I Corinthians 12:27-28.

Not every member is a nose; they aren’t all mouths or heads, but they are all part of the body and they all have the same Spirit. Therefore, those who have the Holy Spirit, have everything in common. It is written: All the believers were together and had everything in common (they all evangelized). Acts 2:44

Regardless of title, position or age, everyone who’s been baptized with the Holy Spirit has life to give; they are witnesses of the Resurrection of Jesus and evangelize, even though they’re not an assistant or pastor.
