Righteous Revolt

Righteous Revolt

Revolt doesn’t happen without a reason, it doesn’t pop up out of nowhere like a good idea. Quite the contrary, it stems from a powerful reaction against an injustice.

Unlike those who have an accommodated faith, the revolted seek the rights they received through the cross with much courage, boldness and determination.

They go for broke, life or death, in order to receive the promises God made to Abraham, Isaac and Israel.

The revolted nurture a spirit of indignation against suffering injustices and refuse to continue living that way. They’d rather die.

Take Abraham, for example, who grew tired of waiting and finally said to the Lord:
- Lord God, what will You give me, seeing I still go childless...? Genesis 15:2;

and Moses, who said:
- If You treat me like this, please kill me here and now – if I have found favor in Your sight – and do not let me see my wretchedness! Numbers 11:15

and Gideon:
- If the Lord is with us, why then has all this happened to us? And where are all His miracles which our fathers told us about... Judges 6:13

They had each reached the limit of their despair. They didn’t fear for their lives or the lives of their families. It was all or nothing.

Therefore, the answer came QUICKLY:

To Abraham:
RIGHT AWAY, the word of the LORD came to him, saying, “This one shall not be your heir, but one who will come from your own body shall be your heir.” Then He brought him outside and said, “Look now toward heaven, and count the stars if you are able to number them.” And He said to him, “So shall your descendants be.” Genesis 15:4-5

To Moses, the response was immediate:
“Gather to Me seventy men of the elders of Israel”... Numbers 11:16

To Gideon, He said:
Go in this might of yours, and you shall save Israel from the hand of the Midianites...” Judges6:14

The nature of someone who’s suffered an injustice becomes revolted. They carry a burden of hatred towards the person who committed the injustice.

The Campaign of Israel is for the revolted.
